Firstly let me wish all of our member Happy National Day in Singapore and Selamat Hari Kemerdekaan in Malaysia. Both countries will always be close to my heart and I would like to wish them both a great success. Fabulous Asia.com set another milestone when we reached over 100,000 hits on the first week of August’ 08. Lots of more features are being brainstormed and will be incorporated in the official launch (see this space for more details). I was very honored to be invited for the launch reception of Indignation 08. I went together with Joy (our resident writer). We were very happy to be part of such a huge event in the LGBT calendar of Singapore. We would like to wish the organisers a big thank you and well done.

Whats new on fabulousasia!!!

Our resident writer Joy has been churning out article exploring the element of human rights in the LGBT world. His recent article – Are they human is a must read. We are also featuring lots of article from LGBT-related organization from this region. Interesting and mind-boggling research, survey and statistics are found in the article section. Dr Sham has been quite busy updating posts and replying to all your emails, make sure you check out her forum page or simply sent an email by clicking Ask Dr Sham. We are still in lookout for freelance writers, just reply to this email with your details and we will get in touch. That’s all for now catch up in the next newsletter.

Fabulous Asia’s main objective is to promote safe sex practise and healthy lifestyle. This is achieve through various channels available on the website. One of the main feature is the articles covering information and lifestyle topics from movie club to events and happening around you.

We are inviting freelance writers from every walk of life. If you have some pressing issues and just want your thoughts to be heard.. Please browse through the portal (click on article) and pick a topic to write or come up with a new one. We are open for suggestions.

Since setting up FabulousAsia early April we’ve been very busy updating content and getting more members. Its been an interesting journey. Before I go further let me share with you whats our objective and mission statement of www.FabulousAsia.com

FabulousAsia (www.fabulousasia.com)

is an online LGBT Lifestyle portal. The main objective is to create
a safe place for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community to obtain information and interact.
The web portal consist mainly original and 3rd party articles, a forum page, videos, a resident doctor
contact form and latest LGBT news from around the world.

Our mission statement :
1) To create awareness of sexual health and promote safe sex practice.
2) To eradicate the taboo revolving around AIDS/HIV

Our Motto
“Pride As One”

The webportal is still at beta (testing) stage, the official launch will be in August 2008. At the moment we appreciate all your comments and suggestion, hence will be incorporated in the final version. So whats new in FabAsia. We’ve been busy working together with PT Foundation in Malaysia to encourage as many people to go for the free blood screening. Besides creating awareness, FabAsia is committed in providing information about services available for our visitors. So if you’ve not got for your test, please read further

Lots of lifestyle and news content has been added. One of my favorites are the gay book and movie club. This month we’re featuring Kinky Boots and Funny Boy. Both are hilarious and relevant.
